She was only six

It seems the net has closed in, dear reader, on the alleged murderer of JonBenet Ramsey.

Although this can only bee good news, it's tinged with sadness since the wee girl's Mother passed away from cancer a couple of months ago.

This is bound to be made into a Hollywood epic. I really believe that.

However, in the film, I hope the producers will at least attempt to answer a few questions:

Why was she named JonBenet and the name pronounced Jean Bennay? It's John Bennett. That's a man's name.

Why did they dress her up like a prostitute?*

Why did her parents demand she strike those very adult, coquettish poses?

Also, what are the odds that a blockbuster movie telling this sad tale will hit our cinema screens with twenty four months?

*My Mother once asked why JonBenet's parents dressed her up like a teasing-tart. I was much younger, then, and shocked at the question, asserting that they could have dressed her up in a leather basque - there's still no reason for her murder. Yet, still, this question, notwithstanding her murder, must be asked. Why can't a child be allowed to be a child, play with dolls, make mud pies, do cutting out and paint in colouring-in books? Why did she have to behave like an eighteen year old when she was only six?
