Does Raaijmakers have a meaning? You know, like Smith comes from Blacksmith and Taylor is someone who makes clothes...
Tapping (my surname) is actually Danish. It comes from Taeppa. Long and complicated, but Minge is of a Royal Line! Taeppa was a King of a minor English kingdom well over a thousand years ago. I'd go into it in more detail, but this post isn't about me, it's about Hildert. Oh, another thing, do people call you Hildert or is there a shortened form of it?

i just love the fact that you're still awake WAAAAAAAAY past your bedtime.
Lovely.
I know - and it's Saturday night. Here I am sat in front of the friggin' computer. Sad, innit!?
Of course it's sad. You wouldn't catch me doing it.
We have always called Hildert: 'Dert . . . it is a long story, but the nickname was inspired by my sister Helen.
My last name means "from the field" - oh how boring . . . but this isnt about me, it is about 'Dert - do you want embarassing stories about him and how much will you pay me?
Yes, embarassing stories, please. No cost is too high. How much do you want?
oohhhh... I have great pics from circa mid 1980's
Yay! Upload them! Now!!!
I'm impressed: a post especially for me..! :-))Yet I am the 8th to say something about this subject, I see. So can you trash the comments that don't refer to the subject so we can focus please? There are several interesting explanations for both my surname and my first name. Have to make them up in proper English first, so I'll come back with that later this week.
Oh and Canagal: if you do so, I'll come over and collide with your furniture ;-)
Actually, why do you call yourself 'Minge'? What does that mean?
Go to Google, and type the following in the search box:
define: minge
That should answer your question!
Minge - yes... But I tell you why I'm called it. Hang on, no, I'll write an entry in my blog.
Dert, why don't you write about your name on your blog? Loads of people would be interested to read it.
