I was listening to The Ladies Who Lunch as sung by the fabulous Elaine Stritch. One of the last lines of that song:

Look into their eyes and you'll see what they know
Everybody dies

I just love it.

Your whole entry is, almost verbatim, the opening lines to The Book Thief.

Here I thought you were tipping your hat to me, telling me that you were finally taking my recommendation to read that remarkable book. Now I'm sad.

Don't be sad. I'll read it.

You just don't know how spooky this is.

The last thing I read was The Bell Jar and I'm scared to read anything else now for a myriad of reasons. I may go into it on my blog someday.

Brian, I think you should give me a reading list. I love reading lists. I really do. I might give you one, too. And a reading list.

I don't think it's available in the UK. I've looked on Play.com and they don't have it.

Of course, that's not to say other retailers don't have it, but usually, if it's out, Play.com have got it.

I think I've found it...!
