Madonna

Our Glorious Leader is collaborating on her new album with Pharrell Williams, Andre 3000 from Outkast and Snoop Dogg. Really.

Well, Pharrell did make the MacDonald's 'I'm Lovin' It' theme sound like a delightful Scritti Politti throwback. He can do no wrong in my eyes. But somehow... I don't see this working, but I could be wrong.

Why does she insist on NOT making an album with Pet Shop Boys? I sooo want to hear her do a cover of "Heart", all old school and whatnot! (Or I'd at least like her to make an album with Brian Eno...)

Although I do like Pharrell, and I have a crush on Andre 3000.

Oh my god, that might be amazing...

if Gwen Stefani and every other girl out there hasn't done the same thing!

Come on Big M! Let's get it together!

Mmm interesting choice of people to collaborate with. Ms Ciccone is a musical whore really, she's been with many a different producer / artiste to keep herself fresh ... Nile Rogers, Shep Pettibone, Dallas Austin, William Orbit, Mirwais, Stuart Price ... She's always been shrewd enough to work with currently "in" people in order to stay in vogue and most of the time it's worked pretty well in her favour.

Not sure about the bunch of people she's chosen this time round though - is she attempting a new ghetto gal image? Madge in a nylon tracksuit and lots of bling bling jewellery? Mmmm potentially amusing image for a woman pushing 50. Snoop Dogg isn't someone I like very much, particularly after his apparently homophobic comments in the past.

Ah well. Let's see what she comes up with eh? Confessions on a Dancefloor was a total winner though and will be a tough act to follow.

And Bill S - don't know if you knew already but the Pet Shop Boys remixed "Sorry" for Queen Madge...

Oh, no I'm worried about more Madonna rapping.

you, no about soy lattes, pilates and hotties and a body gaurd or five.

...but, whatever the result. I will love it. She forces me to love her.

...I even enjoy her lame rap mentioned above.

I'm wondering if all three men will work together or if she'll work with them separately. Don't know how it will pan out. I can imagine her doing something like Hay Ya! - but the rapping has to stop.

No more MadgeRap. Didn't she already do the embarrassing tracksuit homegirl crap on that Gap ad with Missy Elliott?

She should investigate Richard X or Trevor Jackson (of Playgroup). Or totally flummox us with Brian Eno (you are so onkers Bill S - I like it) or the Kronos Quartet or maybe some Heavy Kettle?

I don't really care who she works with next, as long as it's someone she's not worked with before and as long as it's not Phil Collins. I know a lot of people like him but I don't like people who take themselves too seriously.
