I had a very nice surprise in the post this morning. A fabulous wee package from CDON: West End Girls/Goes Petshopping.It's fabulous.
Each track has been remodelled with love. You can hear the affection the girls have for the songs.
The whole album gives a Very slant to Pet Shop Boys' back catalogue which is interesting when hearing the ten pre-Very tracks, but spooky when listening to the one and only post-Very song on the album, You only tell me you love me when you're drunk.
Ten out of ten.
A brilliant album - but what for West End Girls now? More Pet Shop Boys cover versions? Original material? McDonalds?
