Neighbour

Here's an exciting opportunity for you, dear reader. Come and live next door to Minge!

My neighbours have put their house up for sale. It's the one on the end of the terrace in the photograph to the left.

Nice, huh?

Click here for all the details.

Not only will you have great living accommodation in a great part of Edinburgh, you'll also have the best neighbours anyone could wish for!

The current owners have painted the master bedroom a ghastly pale lavender, but don't let that throw you. Lovely!

All the people around here have ghastly decor. And poor taste. My place still needs a lot of work. But you should have seen it befor. I paid good money to have the dado rail removed when someone along the road from me was having one put up! And the people who lived in my house before me obviously had no idea that paper borders are a sin.

It might take me a while to save up for it. Listen, here's whatcha do. Anytime someone comes to look at the house, run around outside naked with a partially frozen chicken on your head and sing "Deustschland Uber Alles." That should scare off any potential buyers until I can make arrangements on this end. Deal?

Minge said...

Deal. But bring root beer or the deal's off.

You know, Minge dear, if you set up your Blogger to send you an e-mail everytime someone sends you a comment, you'll KNOW who deletes their comments and then you can go to their blog and torment them about it.

I know you've said about this before, Brian. Trouble is, I've no idea how to do it. I've investigated before... Perhaps it's time to try again?

Minge said...

I did try and I've done it!

Hurrah!

And, thanks!

Have Colin & Justin not been in to re-decorate for these poor people?

Minge said...

Colin and Justin shun their like.

I can't believe you know Colin and Justin!

That means I've been busted as the annoying comment deleter. I am hopeless and should be banned from Blogger for 6 weeks. The problem came when I looked up this lovely listing on Lindsays.co.uk, thinking I was being clever, when Minge had already done it and included it in his post! Sad, really, that I failed to see it. Old eyes!

My apologies.

How fabulous! I love the house and I couldn't think of anything better than having neighbors like you and Phyllis.

(In regards to the people moving...is this the woman who leaves her washing out for DAYS..? - LOL) :)

I can't imagine a more attractive and more interesting neighbor to have.

You know we ARE in the market for a house. Perfect number of bedrooms. I don't think one bath would cut it though. My daughter is at the age where she thinks she must live in front of the mirror! It's lovely though. Maybe you'll come to the U.S. to see us when we DO get a house. And of course, would love to go to Scotland to visit you and Phyllis!

would anybody in the neighborhood mind if I added another story to the place?

where's the nearest strip joint?

is that price high or the going rate?

I'm just one lottery win away from being your neighbor a few months a year. my mom already thinks you're fab.

Dearest Minge, Googled Buckstone Shaw and found you ??!!... not expected but love the blog. I also live in this fabulous street. It's scary just how so spot on you are with your accounts of life in suburbia. Keep up the good work.

Lordy! Do you have a blog?
