Cold

I've got an awful cold.

I've been here in Bournemouth for almost a week and have suffered with it for the best part of seven days. It's starting to get on my nerves, now. I'm bringing up the vilest of muck from my chest and it's all colours of the rainbow.

I ache.

If this wasn't bad enough, my brother and his family are arriving this evening. He wants me to help him to give my Mother a garden makeover. She's old and quite disabled, unable to do any gardening at all. I don't know what he has in mind. I hope I'll be of use. I could actually do with being in bed right now. I hope I don't feel like this tomorrow. He wants work to begin right after breakfast.

Tsk. Stress.

Things haven't been so bad. We've been to the cinema to see The Queen, gone to the bingo (several times) and won (several times) and spent a fair few hours in front of the television watching Catweazle and old films.

Oh, and tubby as I am, my Mother thinks I'm thin and constantly orders me to eat food. High fat, high sugar, high calorie food. She knows I am weak, dear reader.

Access to a computer is erratic, not easy and often brief. I don't know when I'll be able to get to blog again next. I miss it.

If I don't make it back before the weekend, forget ye not the Haiku Saturday and Fib Sunday! Do you want me to beg?

Oh poor Minge! A dreadful cold right this period... I hope you can cope with it without losing your temper (that's what happens to me when the cold «stays» for longer than had been invited...)
So she orders you to eat, huh? Good for you! Please her anyway. You'll have plenty of time to go on diet (if only you needed...)
Quick recovery, Minge!
Pleasant days!

Having a good time?

Colds are nature's punishment for having a good time, I think.

Hope you're feeling better.
