Pope Benedict XVI is eighty years old today!The Vatican staff certainly have cause to celebrate. Not only are they having the day off today, they're getting a bonus of five hundred euros! Nice to have it off on your boss' birthday and have him give you money, to boot!
I don't know, call me old fashioned, but didn't Jesus invite us all to give up our riches and follow him?
I guess the Pope and his staff forgot that. I might write a letter and remind them. I'll let you know if I get a reply, dear reader, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
