When I was staying at my Mum's house in Bournemouth, she gave me Best magazine to read. She told me there's a really sad story in there, a lady wrote a letter to her daughter who'd passed away after a heart operation. Mum's heart was broken and she told me she sobbed while reading it. I didn't even look at it at first, put it to one side. Then, when I did pick it up, I recognised Bethany, Dan and Jo's daughter, on the cover, straight away.
The strangest part about this, of course, is that the magazine was about a year old. As I remember, it was dated 18th October 2005. Mum didn't know where it came from. She imagines my sister gave it to her, but no-one knows why anyone would keep a magazine for a year. Worse than that, Mum wanted it back to do the word search in the back. I gave it to her, and this was the last anyone saw of it. It's disappeared from the face of the earth.
I wrote to Dan asking if he'd mind if I wrote a blog entry about this. This was his reply (I'm sure he won't mind me publishing it here):
Wow, you're right, it is a small world :) And as soon as I saw the title [Best magazine], I knew what you were going to say!
Of course, with it appearing and disappearing like that, it's probably Bethy wanting to pull on your heartstrings some ;) "Look at me, Look at me!!" sort of thing!
And you are more than welcome to blog about it matey - don't feel you have to hold back!
I'm glad you found the story though. We like to share Bethy with everyone, and feel for all those that never got to meet her.
Thanks matey,
Dan :)

Wow. Dan's reaction to that is so cool: it's probably Bethy wanting to pull on your heartstrings some ;) "Look at me, Look at me!!" sort of thing!
I know.
They're an amazing family.
I wouldn't go as far as "Amazing"... maybe "a bit nifty" hehe
