I have a pink shawl quite similar, but I hardly ever wear it to picnics or trip to the beach. Am partial to wearing it on mountain hikes or when I feel like busting out a Linda Rondstadt 70's rock/country hit. "...You're no good! You're no good!" ...then I whip my pink shawl about it and do a jig on top of a car at a red light. this will usually end badly -- but it is a process, you know.
