Seven photographs of Minge and the (still warm) Dorset Apple Cake. Click here for the recipe.

If we don't find the right solution, will there be a revolution?

  5. Delicious! I would like a slice of that, warm, with a glass of whiskey. Afterwards it would be time to make sweet love all night.

  7. Mmmmm....

You know, I haven't cracked open my canned haggis yet. I may have to do that this weekend and make your Dorset Apple Cake and think about you.

  8. Lewis - have a good chew. Remember to swallow!

Novelist, I'd send you some, but it would rot in the post. Make it yourself. It's easy. Did you see the recipe?

    Anjou! Slice me nice!

Brian. Make the cake and eat the haggis. I will be doing something in your honour, too.

I always muck about with the DAC recipe, though. This time, I reserved most of the apples to lay them on top of the cake before cooking it. Then I painted it with warmed quince jelly when it was done.

  16. I'll bake you a cake, Gab, any time.

    Don't take too long, Ric.

The cake is attacking me, Bill, because I'm not eating it! However, all is now well. There's about a third left.

Just looked at my email, Dert! Thanks!

Alan, come on over and I'll cook up another cake.

Carioca, do you like to nibble?

    Patsy, is that you?
