Does anyone still wear a hat?

  1. If I know I'll be spending hours in the sun I do. My poor scalp says thanks when I remember.

Nuh-uh. When I tried on a trilby I looked like a pilgrim. I have a big head and am concerned about 'hat-hair', so even in the winter I don't bother.

  5. It's a scene from one of my favourite musicals, Company. My favourite song is The Ladies Who Lunch. The guy is Dean Jones. Hot or what?

    I wear a black-and-white-checked woollen farmer-style cap.

  11. I never was a fan of hats but I do wear my MSU ball cap every now and then. However, I absolutely loved my garrison cap but for very good reasons, I can't wear it in public.

  12. I've never worn anything whatsoever on my head, unless my hair, which btw I like very much, thank you... Well, as a child I had to wear some silly things mothers always think they look so cute on their kids' heads... But that's long gone...

  14. I am shocked and dismayed that not ONE of the seventeen comments on this post makes even the slightest reference to the fabulous and amazingly talented LEGEND in the photograph.

    Poor Elaine.

  16. I believe you both must have read them far too quickly, haven't you? I did say she is very elegant. I'm sorry if I cannot say more about her... :-)

  17. Ric is right, I spoke too soon. Elaine's smoky, early-70's elegance was referenced.

    But still.

I'm just sayin. I worship the woman.

  18. ... A woman - not an impersonation of any kind - HAS to be very elegant to hold a cigarette in her hand just like that... You can SEE that gesture is natural!
