I can't believe it. I don't watch it anymore, but hey, it's been axed...!?!?
This can't be right. Britain isn't that radical. We don't elect communists to parliament, we don't adopt a different currency like the Euro, we don't get rid of the monarchy and become a republic, we don't let gay couples marry like men and women, we don't get rid of Top Of The Pops.
Is this some kind of joke?
I think I'll watch the last ever episode, even though I'll hate 99% of the music.

Top of the Pops has been on it's way out for years. I mean, half the acts mime, the other half are pretty crappy (I don't tend to watch/listen to main-stream music). Added to this, you've got a dozen music channels via cable or satellite which most people use nowadays.
ReplyDeleteTotP lost it's appeal - it was sinking when they shuffled it to BBC2, and now they've realised they're not making money on it any more.
Does this mean that I won't have to listen to Ferne wots-her-face anymore.
